PSD2 – Important Update to Members regarding use of Mobile and Online Banking Application
PSD2 regulation in effect from 14th Sept 2019
What does this mean for members?
Additional security enhancements have been introduced to your CU247 online and mobile banking facility in order to protect members from instances of fraud. This additional security is called “Strong Customer Authentication”
This means certain actions which are conducted on banking online service e.g. transferring money to your bank, etc. will now require additional authentication by way of a verification code which will be supplied by text message to the mobile phone you have registered.
There will be an updated version of the online app for both Android and iPhone users.
Please ensure that your phone settings allow for updates as you will be required to update your app for the new changes to take effect. You will also need to ensure that your mobile phone number is registered in order to receive the authentication codes.
If you have any queries in relation to this please don’t hesitate to contact the office 093-24645.
Please Remember: St. Jarlath’s Credit Union will never contact you asking for your User ID and Pin details. Please report any suspicious requests to our Head office in Tuam immediately on 093-24645.
